The 2009 Port Lovers Wine Club selection is ready. Club members who have their wine shipped should have already received their selection. The Port Lovers Selection is one bottle each of our Petite Sirah Port, Black Muscat Port and Zinfandel Port.

Petite Sirah Port– The Petite Sirah wine that we used in our 2008 Winter Wine Club selection was so well received that we decided to use it to make another addition to our Port Wine collection. Black Muscat Port - The Muscat family of grapes is perhaps the oldest under cultivation, dating back before recorded history. It is perhaps the original source of the Vitis vinifera species itself. Muscat is grown in wine regions around the world. The black Muscat grape has a naturally floral bouquet and a rich dark fruity taste – ideal to make into one of our Deaver Ports. As you savor this port, consider that you are enjoying not only a wonderful wine but also a piece of history.

Zinfandel Port – Our tradition of Zinfandel Port dates back to the very earliest days of Deaver Vineyards and Winery. Over the decades, our guests have come to regard that the “official” beginning of Fall cannot happen until the Deaver Zin Port is ready. Our Zin Port is ready! Let Fall begin! A holiday meal is not complete until the port has been passed around at the end of the meal. We know your guests will be thrilled that you’re willing to share this elegant wine with them.
