2008 Sierra Foothills Pinot Noir

Sierra Foothills Pinot Noir

2008 Sierra Foothills Pinot Noir - Why would anyone in their right mind try to grow Pinot Noir grapes or make wine out them. The vines are infamous as extremely difficult to grow... The grapes are legendary as almost impossible to make into great wine... Yet, every now and then a bottling comes along that rewards the tears, the pain and the simple patience of the winemaker. The 2008 Deaver Vineyards Sierra Foothills Pinot Noir is a stunning achievement. The grapes were grown at the 2,400 ft. elevation... The wine was aged in oak for 14 months. It is dry yet full of rich cherry and strawberry flavors. Pinot Noir is one of the most versatile wines at table. Pair it with poultry, beef, fish or lamb. Serve it next to a pasta with a creamy sauce with a hint of garlic and shredded poultry or lamb.

2007 Signature Carignane

2007 Signature Carignane - We set aside the very best of our harvest for our Deaver Signature Wine series. Over the years our Wine Club members have come to anticipate the release of our Signature wines as an opportunity to enjoy the very best of the very best. You'll pick up berries and cream in the bouquet with just a hint of cedar spice. If you enjoy a flank steak seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and peppercorns, you'll love it paired with Carignane. It is one of the most widely planted grapes yet rarely is allowed to stand on its own. It provides the body and boldness for a number of wines that regularly grace our tables. Our 2007 Carignane provides a rich bright cherry taste with a long leather finish.

2009 Amador County Sauvignon Blanc

2009 Amador County Sauvignon Blanc

2009 Amador County Sauvignon Blanc - Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in stainless steel resulting in a spectrum of tropical flavors. Summer 2009 in Amador County was warm and it was dry. For growing the wines that made the Shenandoah Valley famous, it does not get much better than that. The Sauvignon Blanc is the first of the 2009 vintage ready to release. And it is wonderful! The wine is crisp; the body is full and rich; the flavors are varied and inviting. Put it with a first course salad topped with a citrus and balsamic vinaigrette or simply enjoy a warm spring evening on the patio or deck with a plate of flavorful cheese, sliced fruit and best friends.

Regular Retail Price: $14.99 per bottle
Wine Club Price: $11.99 per bottle / $143.90 per case

2006 Amador County Signature Petite Sirah

2006 Amador County Signature Petite Sirah - This noble grape was originally called Durif when it was discovered in 1880 in a small vineyard in the south of France. It still is called by that name in other parts of the world. We call it Petite Sirah. Enjoy this dark, spicy wine with a slowly cooked stew flavored with your favorite of lamb, pork or beef. Whether on the table with a hearty meal or as a satisfying end to a long winter's day, it can hardly be matched. Once you try it, you'll begin to understand why university botanist Francois Durif chose to give the grape his own name when he discovered it.

Regular Retail Price: $23.99 per bottle
Wine Club Price: $19.19 per bottle / $230.30 per case
