The Deaver Family Ranch has been a part of Amador County since the days of the California Gold Rush. In addition to the vineyards and winery, we also raise livestock. We have a limited supply of free-range fed spring lamb available.
Lamb Chops with Asparagus


You may pre-order either a half or whole lamb already processed and frozen for pickup at the winery tasting room. Each half includes a boned and rolled leg of lamb, a Frenched rack of lamb chops, two lamb shanks, shoulder chops, Denver style ribs and loin chops. The price is $300.00 for a whole lamb or $160.00 for a half.

Lamb is so versatile that you can pair it with a number of our wines including our 2005 Amador County Barbera, 2006 Sierra Foothills Tempranillo or our award-winning 2006 Amador County Sangiovese . However, if you are looking for an exceptional treat, pair it with our Gold Medal Winning 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel that comes from vines planted on the ranch 140 years ago.
