Deaver Sierra Foothill Zinfandel wins San Francisco Chronicle's "Double Gold" and "Best of Class."

The Deaver Vineyards 2004 Sierra Foothill Zinfandel affectionately referred to as "Tank #1" is one of those classic Zin's that the Deaver Family has been producing since the mid 1860's. This Zin has been afforded all of the accolades that it properly deserves. It was first judged in the summer of 2006 at the Orange County Fair and was awarded a Gold Medal. Few know that the Orange County Fair is one of the oldest and most highly acclaimed wine judging events in the business. In January of 2007, this wine was judged at the San Francisco Chronicle's wine competition against 117 Zinfandels and was unanimously awarded "Double Gold", "Best of Class."

The Deaver Vineyards 2004 Sierra Foothill Zinfandel has a beautiful, deep, dark, garnet, hue that suggests a velvet texture. The aromas are those of blackberry, raspberry, anise, and leather. The first sip of this wine will excite your palate and the finish will have you remembering this wine for decades.

Pair this wonderful, classic, mouth fulfilling Zin with a range of culinary delights such as molasses, a smoky barbecue entree, a succulent fillet, or a classic Italian spinach lasagne smothered with wild mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and a big, bold, marinara sauce.

The Deaver Vineyards 2004 Sierra Foothill Zinfandel is one of those rare wines you should stockpile.
