Quick 'n Easy Summer Broccoli Slaw

Lazy Summer Days with friends and family are entirely too important to spend a whole lot of time in the kitchen.

This tasty recipe for a quick broccoli slaw will feed six or eight. You can serve it at once or you can prepare a day ahead and let it chill overnight to blend all the intriguing flavors together.

Ingredients:

For the Salad:

Two 12 to 16 ounce packages broccoli slaw
        (in the bagged salad section of your grocery store)

Or

1 large broccoli crown, trimmed and chopped into 1/4 inch pieces,
2 carrots, shredded
Half head red cabbage, shredded.

1/4 cup sunflower seeds, hulled
1/4 cup raisins

 For the Dressing:

1/3 cup Narsai's Dijon mustard*
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons hot sauce
2 teaspoons celery seeds
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

In large bowl, whisk together mustards and sugar. Slowly add in remaining ingredients and continue to whisk until blended and smooth. Add in broccoli slaw, mix together and serve.

Serves 6 to 8
